Press Release: Law Society Excellence Awards

20 September 2011

Rayden Solicitors has been shortlisted for the prestigious national Law Society Excellence Awards2011 in the category of Equality and Diversity.

Rayden Solicitors was set up in 2005 by Katherine Rayden who was raised and still lives in Hertfordshire. It has since risen to become one of the largest specialist family law firms in Hertfordshire.

Raydens has been shortlisted in recognition of their innovative flexible and part-time working initiatives which encourages a better work life balance and ensures that individuals who want or need a work life balance have no need to compromise their careers. Out of 11 staff just two work full-time and by adopting a flexible working policy, the firm has experienced sustained business growth, excellent staff morale, high levels of client satisfaction and staff retention.

Katherine commented:

"Many firms still refuse to make use of flexible working policies on the assumption that it is impossible to profitably practice law and provide continuity of care by employing part-time or flexibly working staff. Our firm believes that this is an outdated and misguided premise and I am delighted that this has been recognised by the Legal professions".
